We’ve provided E-Rate and California Teleconnect Fund consulting services since 2012 for a multi-site Pre-K/Head Start organization. Since then, they’ve received reimbursements of over $2,000,000 for Category One and Two expenses. In addition, by combining our E-Rate and technical expertise, we were able to guide the client through upgrading their Internet technology from DSL connections to cable modems, which increased bandwidth and allowed for the implementation of a cloud-based VoIP system at nearly sixty locations.
HWC completed a Telecom Expense Management project for a large community-based organization of all of their telecommunications services (voice and Internet), which has resulted in savings of over $230,000 over the first eighteen months. We began by analyzing each circuit and service to determine a baseline of their current expenses, and then provided a series of recommendations to reduce costs. Savings from the Telecom Expense Management project enabled the client to fund additional projects that were previously unaffordable.
We served as the project manager for The Berkeley Carroll School, a private school in New York, that was seeking to migrate from a cumbersome legacy phone system to a cloud-based VoIP solution across a multi-site campus. We worked directly with the school's IT Director to conduct an inventory of existing services and a needs assessment so that we could develop a responsive, comprehensive technical Request For Proposal (RFP). We then solicited bids from VoIP vendors and provided consultation for the school in selecting the solution that best met their business and technical requirements. BCS ended up with an easy-to-manage VoIP solution that seamlessly integrated into their existing cloud-based communications platform.
Through our contract negotiation service, we saved a client approximately 44% per month on their telecommunications expenses. We worked directly with multiple service providers on their behalf to find the best fit and price. Understanding current industry trends, we identified opportunities for our client that not only improved their network, but also reduced their expenses.
